High modulus conglomerates
For all those requiring a conglomerate with specific resistance features, Vitali S.p.A. produces a high modulus conglomerate suitable for a road pavement characterised by intense vehicular flow.

“High modulus” terminology derives from the mechanical features, which are higher than traditional conglomerates. To produce a Vitali high modulus conglomerate, it is possible to use traditional or modified bitumen; when using modified bitumen, where polymers are added, excellent results are obtained.

The peculiarities of the high modulus conglomerate Vitali uses modified bitumen in relation to thermal susceptibility (the softening temperature is raised and the breaking temperature is lowered).
Additional strong points relate to the increased resistance to deformation of the elastic component, as well as an increase in durability made possible by slower ageing.
High modulus conglomerate is normally used for connecting layers; packing and laying are carried out with the same equipment used for traditional conglomerates.
This product is used to make load-bearing layers (base or binder) for roads with heavy vehicular traffic.
The use of high modulus conglomerate is especially recommended for: sustaining heavy loads; minimising the risk of pavement deformation; increasing resistance to wear and ageing situations.

Vitali Group’s Production division guarantees high quality conglomerates, in line with the entire company philosophy.
